Trainee / Junior Site Engineer

An exciting opportunity is available for a Trainee Site Engineer to join a growing civil engineering business based in County Durham. This role offers structured training and hands-on experience across civils and surveying projects, providing an excellent platform for career development within the construction industry.

The Role
The successful candidate will assist experienced engineers and surveyors on site, gaining exposure to setting out, surveying, quality checks, site documentation, and project coordination. The position will involve working closely with operational teams on a variety of civils projects while developing technical and practical engineering skills.

Experience Required

• Interest in civil engineering, surveying, or construction
• Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction, or Surveying preferred
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills on site
• Basic understanding of engineering drawings advantageous
• Full UK driving licence preferred
