Location: Remote
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE
An established and forward-thinking consultancy is looking to appoint an Acoustic Consultant with a strong background in building acoustics. Based in the UK, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career within a collaborative and design-led environment.
The Opportunity
You’ll be joining a dynamic team of acousticians working on a wide range of projects across the commercial, residential, education, cultural and mixed-use sectors. The company takes a modern, people-focused approach to consultancy, valuing creativity, quality, and long-term relationships with clients.
The Role
This role will involve:
- Providing technical advice on building acoustics from planning through to completion
- Conducting environmental and building acoustic assessments
- Preparing detailed reports and design documentation
- Undertaking on-site testing and acoustic modelling using tools such as CadnaA or ODEON
- Working closely with architects, engineers, and developers on innovative project delivery
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who has:
- At least 3 years’ experience in acoustic consultancy
- A degree in acoustics or a related field
- Knowledge of key standards and guidelines (BB93, BS8233, BS4142 etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive and collaborative attitude
Progress toward or attainment of Chartered status is a bonus, though not essential.
